Harper Dark

Harper James Hunt (born May 11, 2000), known professionally as Harper Dark, is an English singer and musician. He was 1/5 of the boy band RoadTrip alongside Andy Fowler, Rye Beaumont, Brooklyn Wyatt, and Sonny Robertson, being the youngest member. Prior to joining the group in 2020, he was one of the supporting acts for their two 2019 tours, the Dynamite and the Hero tour.

Harper James Hunt was born on May 11, 2000, to Julie and Mark Hunt in Essex, England. He moved with his family at the age of two, growing up in Tenerife, before moving back to England in late 2017.[3] He has an elder brother named Connor Hunt (born November 1996).

From February-May 2018, Harper was part of the boy band Instinct before they mutually split up. He then began as a solo singer and musician, busking on the streets of London. He joined Blair Dreelan’s management in 2019 and was a supporting act for RoadTrip’s 2019 tours, the Dynamite and the Hero tour. Later in December 2019, he was revealed to be the new trial member after Jack Duff’s departure, offered by Blair, and joined officially on January 1, 2020. Together the group released their fifth EP White Label, and headlined their concert One Night Only at Shepherd’s Bush on the first of March. They were planned to tour around Poland for the Young Stars on Tour 2020 in May, which was reschedulled to the end of August.

In May 2020, he along with Brook publicly released several accusations publicly against Rye. On the 12th, both Sonny and Rye addressed these claims, explaining the idea of the band’s rebrand, which 4/5 have collectively agreed to, due to their financial situation. Harper stated that he had zero control being in the group, and it mentally took a toll on him and Brook, as they were turning into YouTubers, rather than doing music. He explained that since he was new coming into the band, he didn’t know how things worked, and all of it was run by Rye, including access to the band’s bank account. However, he never questioned it, not wanting to disrespect the way things worked. He set up his own YouTube channel on May 24, 2020, and posted his first cover on June 7th. He has not made a public statement concerning RoadTrip, though addressed the Poland tour, which hinted him and Brook going. Later it was determined that he would go solo. He will release music in the future, possibly in 2021.

On October 8, 2019, his grandfather passed away. He stated that he was his biggest supporter, and got the Guinness tattoo in honour of him.
